Original J70 Trailers all came with carpet stapled on wooden strakes (Blech!). The carpet is abrasive, and holds water against the hull - not what you want. Having the right bunk foam is essential. Kablooey foam is our DX style denser 4LB foam, with a super adhesive backing - you can stick it right over existing carpet, or mount directly to the original wood strakes if you like. There has been some talk of making an all in one replacement strake and foam combination - if that is an interest you have, please let us know!

For now, get some of our dense bunk foam - you wont have to wonder on that downwind reach if your hull is maybe a little dirty or scratched from your trailer bunk - you will be able to focus on the competition, content knowing the hull is safe and sound with Kablooey foam!
